Visit to the Dalai Lama

My mom and Dad came up to go see the Dalai Lama with us. We made a day trip (2 hrs away) to Cedar Falls. It was pretty cool. There were two sold out sessions, so I went to the morning and Jamie went to the afternoon since we had Harper with us and security was so tight, we couldn't bring her stroller in or big bags, so was just easier to hang out with her and take turns.

This is the sand mandala that was on display.

There were a bunch of Tibetan vendors...very fun...got some cool stuff

Aunt Miranda's Graduation

Grandma with Lauren, Harper & Madi

A couple weeks ago we made a trip to Dubuque for Aunt Miranda's graduation. She graduated from Clarke College with a degree in nursing, and now is headed to Des Moines to work!

Her party was in a beautiful location (Eagle Point park) overlooking the Mississippi River, but it was freezing!

Harper and Hayden

Luckily, the next day (Mother's Day) we met again at Eagle Point park for a boy scout pancake breakfast, and the weather was PERFECT.

Iowa Cubs Game

At the last minute a couple weeks ago, we decided to hit an I-Cubs game. Right after we got there, it began to rain, so we spent the game just hanging out under the tents. Surprisingly, we (especially Harper) had a really good time.

Fun at the Park

Harper LOVES to swing on the swings when we go to the park. We're looking for a swing set for her now for the back yard.
