With all of the snow and ice we've been getting, we've been couped up for a while and needed to get out of the house. So, we planned a trip to the zoo, hoping to see some outdoor exhibits, especially with the heat wave we were getting (35-40 degrees and sunny). We got to the zoo, but could only go in the indoor discovery center; they had the outdoor exhibits closed due to the icy conditions. We had a blast. We were impressed with all the animals we got to see, the red pandas (cute), fruit bats (creepy), monkey (fun), lots of fishes and pretty birds, including free roaming peacocks. Harper loved watching the animals run around, especially the little monkey and the fish that were as big as she was. Our favorite was the jelly fish exhibit, it was super cool. Harper liked looking at all the animals and fun colors everywhere. It was a super fun day.

Harper turned 7 months old last week. She also just got her 6 month check up. She is 28 inches long, 17 lbs 14 oz. Right after Christmas we started on real food. So far Harper has had carrots, bananas, and sweet potatoes (her favorite). She has a little tooth below the surface that the pediatrician pointed out to me, but it still hasn't popped through. She's finally doing an army crawl, but backwards. At daycare she goes forward (they have a smooth floor). She is now eating her meals in her high chair like a big girl, and loves it! She's getting good at throwing things now, and playing with her toys, and rolling her ball. She is also drinking water out of a cup, and her sippy cup.
